GUIDELINES FOR TUKE STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN ALLOCATED ACCOMMODATION IN THE TUKE STUDENT DORMITORIES with permanent residence outside the Slovak Republic

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

The check-in of students with permanent residence outside the Slovak Republic is possible only within the period specified in the notice, which will be delivered to students by e-mail no later than August 31, 2020. The student is obliged to comply with the specified date of arrival on the accommodation. Entry to the student dormitory is possible only for students who have been assigned accommodation, unaccompanied. For capacity reasons, it is not possible to change the specified date. The SD Rampová 7, Košice and SD Budovateľská 13, Prešov are designated for home isolation of students with permanent residence outside the Slovak Republic. Upon arrival in the Slovak Republic, the student is obliged to register and fill in the form at: https://korona.gov.sk/ehranica/#. After five days of stay in the SD, the student is obliged to undergo testing for COVID -19, which will be performed directly in the SD. After receiving a negative test result for COVID -19, the student will be accommodated in the assigned SD.

If the student fails to check-in on the date specified in the sent notice, he/she can be accommodated in the SD only after completing home isolation in an off-campus facility that is ensured individually, and after submitting a negative test for COVID -19 taken in Slovakia.

We recommend that the student bring food and personal belongings (personal hygiene products) for at least 5 to 7 days in order to complete the mandatory home quarantine. The student will be provided with the possibility to order a meal through an external company cooperating with the Student Dormitories and Canteens TUKE. During the quarantine, the student must stay in his/her room, may not receive visits or meet with other accommodated students, and is obliged to follow all the recommendations and guidelines of the SD and the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic. Otherwise, the student will be immediately expelled from the SD and will be sanctioned according to the valid price list of the SD. The SD management will report the student to the Regional Public Health Authority, which may also impose a sanction.

The students with exemptions shall contact the relevant accommodation office.

ACCOMMODATION GUIDELINES:

The check-in takes place at the accommodation office of SD from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm, Fri: 8.00 am - 12.00 pm, except on Saturdays and Sundays and public holidays.

1. Upon the check-in, the following documents must be submitted:
       - ID card (available for inspection)
       - ISIC card or a printed student certificate
       - 2x completed
         accommodation contract printed on both sides from the MAIS Information System
       - printed proof of additional payment for accommodation (account statement or confirmation of payment)
       - printed proof of payment of the deposit /for students with permanent residence outside the Slovak Republic /: €100
       - students with permanent residence outside the Slovak Republic – a printed solemn declaration
          / under 18 years of age, certified by a notary public/

By not submitting the required documents, the Accommodation Provider is entitled to refuse to provide home isolation in the SD TUKE facility.
